Finding Sage
Set on a fictional Saskatchewan reserve, Finding Sage follows Alina “Lena” Flyaway through her final year of high school. Determined to change her circumstances, Lena sets three goals for herself: make a friend, get involved in something at school, and finally fall in love. Balancing epilepsy, body image, and the weight of her tight-knit but complicated family, Lena doesn't expect her plans to be upended when a new girl, Sage, arrives in town. As feelings she's never known before take hold, Lena is set on a path of self-discovery about her own sexuality — and faces the challenge of coming out to her family and her community.
